Jal Mahal

The Jal Mahal or Water Palace of Jaipur, constructed in 1699, stands testament to the glory of the Rajputs. Even today, when I visit these monuments, I feel transported back to a time when India represented the arts and culture that flourished under the rule of the Rajput royalty.

The palace, painted in concordance to its present day exterior is juxtaposed to a fantasy sky symbolizing the magnificence of a golden era.
