INME

A few years ago, I went on an outdoor adventure camp called “INME” in the great Himalayas. This piece is a short travelogue of the mountain biking trip I took through the dense evergreen forests of Uttarakhand. The first two thumbnails depict the long, strenuous and monotonous ride uphill. As I reached the top (3rd and 4th thumbnails), a sense of achievement rushed into my being and everything around me suddenly came to life. The 5th and 6th thumbnails depict the downward journey, which was like a rollercoaster! I wanted to show the adrenaline rush I experienced by adding hints of purple and by making the fifth thumbnail a shade darker. Since this journey was over the course of one day, I changed my light source across the pages to depict dawn to dusk. The handlebar is a metaphor for my journey beginning, and the cycle wheel at the end for the journey completed. This camp taught me to open my heart to new experiences and to enjoy the great outdoors; but most importantly, it symbolizes the mission of "INME".
